Letter from Pastor Derrick
Dear LifeSpring Church Family,
God is doing some exciting new things in the life of our church. As we step forward into a new season, I want to encourage us, one more time, to pause and honor what has come before. Before we look ahead, let’s take a moment to reflect and celebrate God’s faithfulness in the journey that brought us here.
This past weekend, we said goodbye to Pastor Steve and Susan Holdaway—two people who have profoundly shaped the story of LifeSpring Church. While I’ve only had the privilege of knowing Pastor Steve for a short time, many of you have been blessed to call him your pastor for decades. For over 30 years, Steve has faithfully shepherded this church family. That kind of longevity and devotion is both rare and extraordinary—a true gift from God. Countless souls have been saved and lives changed because of the faithful leadership of Pastor Steve.
When I consider the legacy Steve and Susan leave behind, I’m reminded of one of my favorite quotes: “If we are able to look far, it is because we stand on the shoulders of giants.” LifeSpring stands tall today because of their faithfulness, steadfastness, and unwavering commitment to God’s Word and His people.
And yet, as we give thanks for the past, we are filled with hope for the future. As Pastor Steve and I have said many times, the best days of LifeSpring Church are ahead! Not only because of the strong foundation that has been laid, but because of who we are now. The future will be built by the passionate and faithful members of this church, by a devoted and gifted staff team, and most of all, by the God who goes before us.
Let’s step forward together—with faith, unity, and expectation—for all God has in store.
Take Care and God Bless,
Pastor Derrick Nichols
